Job Description: The successful candidate will work within the File Gateway Engineering & Development team to deliver both the User Interface of File Gateway and the core API development.. They will report into the File Gateway E&D manager and will be part of development team across both onshore and offshore locations to work alongside the Architecture/Design and Testing teams, ensuring maximum collaboration. They will also be heavily focussed on ensuring Engineering capabilities and help with adoption of DevOps methodology across the wider estate. Job Responsibilities: Support the Application Management function with problem records and high severity incidents. Managing the impact assessment of proposed change in the integrated technology environment, in particular understanding the impact of proposed changes on all upstream and downstream systems Delivery of all agreed change to time, quality and cost parameters Ensuring that all engineering reviews are completed and the introduction of change into the Production environment follows agreed governance processes Work closely with the peers within / outside team and keep stakeholders updated on progress against milestones – support development and testing leads to ensure collaboration across the entire project is seamless. Working as an individual contributor for development across Sterling product suite & User interface. Manage deployment process as part of a standard project deployment work, following environment standards and best practices. Ensuring that all change is designed and implemented using best practice using the DevOps toolset. Job Requirements: Exposure to any UI stack like Angular JS will be an add on advantage. Strong skills in DevOps processes and tooling such as GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Sonarcube, Veracode, Docker. Understanding of application security, web based API security and secure coding standards. Good knowledge on Object Oriented Programming and Design patterns. Skilled in Oracle development, SQL and relational database concepts. Strong skills in XML and JSON message formats. Exposure to cloud platforms like Open shift / AWS would be good to have. Expertise in Core Java, Rest full APIs, Spring Boot.
